    I have numerous thoughts roiling around in my brain.

    Sometimes you need to join a union and fight against the rich bastards and demand your right to earn a living. Which is what your ancestors did.

    And sometimes you need to act like a human being and explain how to use a microwave to someone who's new. Because if you were in that situation, you'd want someone to help you. It's that Jesus rule: Do unto others...

    I grew up in Minnesota, then lived in North Carolina, then Washington state. I know it was all within the U.S. and I mostly knew the language, but each time I moved I had to learn a new set of customs.

    Sometimes outsiders move into your home town. Be nice to them. Sometimes you have to move to a new home town. You hope people will be nice to you.

    Listen, strange women lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government.
