    Immigration/Customs in the U.S. has always been, compared to elsewhere rough if you appear "different" in any way. Their agents and their organizations have always been politicized and dissidents detained and mistreated over the decades.

    Where do you get the idea that this is a free country? It isn't and it hasn't been at least since the Cold War. "Freedom" is reserved for those whose fundamental interest in life is economic exploitation.

    Anti-Cuba policy is not about "communism" as such but is against the notion that any state can chart an independent policy. Pariah states are those states that do not conform to Imperial Edicts coming out of Washington/Wall Street/City of London.
