    when they kept up the "hanging chads" distraction long after details started coming out about the Bush steal in 2000. During their call-in shows, listeners would start to ask a question about blacks being stopped from getting to the polls, or about the scrubbed felon lists, only to have the MPR moderator change the subject and cut to break. This happened repeatedly, and it startled me. They never did report honestly about all the shenanigans of the Bush cabal.

    That was my wake-up call that they're part of the cover-ups. It was interesting to hear other activists say that afterward--that MPR dazzles you with so much detail that it lulls you into thinking you're hearing the whole truth and nothing but the truth. It's a dangerous illusion. What we should be attuned to is the stuff we're not hearing from them. Here's one fun study that FAIR released in 2004:

    "Better a bleeding heart than none at all."
