to initiate either class action suits on behalf of the States or on behalf of the individuals, or even both.

Until we break the corporate virtual monopoly on what we hear and see, we keep losing, don't matter what we do.

of anyone other than the federal government?

It hardly seems reasonable that one party in a private dispute should suddenly find that its opponent is no longer represented by a private law firm but is instead being represented (presumably for free) by the Justice Department.

reasonable that a company violating their own risk assessment, the federal rules, sound procedures, and other norms and laws of the human community can thereby ruin the lives of — what? hundreds of thousands, hundreds of millions if you consider the effect on food prices — and get away with it.

I'm sure that, given the myriad of laws, executive orders, and regulations, that someone with a will can make an interpretation which permits whatever the fuck we need to get justice.
