    that should be asked of the CEO and Board of BP - with nobody leaving the room unaccompanied by security personnel until really detailed answers are provided. Even if it's a rhetorical question, the response would be interesting.

      but under what legal authority do you propose to hold the CEO and Board of BP in a room and prevent them from leaving unescorted until you get your answer?

        I'd be thinking of maybe material witnesses to destruction of property. Given that 11 people died, I'd also take a hard look at them as potential accessories to manslaughter (corporations are people too, these days). And I'd go after them for the cover-up.

        AND (IANAL, of course - but I'm sure you knew that) I'd be wondering how to do an analog of the Nuremberg trials - but that's just me being malicious.
