    of that in a house I'm attempting to get built (long story) and fighting to get everything sourced for the project at a cost that is something less than astronomical.

    I'm still debating what to have cabinet carcasses out of but am leaning toward wheat board.

    I was shocked to find the amount of formaldehyde that ends up in a house from the subfloor, carpet and pad, paints and stains, cabinets, etc., etc., etc.  Gack.

    I've been avoiding the whole LEED thing though because it seems like an awful lot of paperwork/documentation (that I would have to pay for) for little benefit.

    I've also seen some pictures of buildings that got LEED certified that made me go, "wtf?" because they didn't seem very green from a building perspective or from an ongoing energy use perspective.  /shrug
