we project all kinds of wishes on any "promising" new person in our lives. This happens in romantic relationships all the time. We think the person we just met is going to be our savior, when in reality, they have qualities we don't like--maybe serious ones.

This perfectly sums up the relationship between Christine O'Donnell and the Tea Party.

didn't even bother to use the Google when they vetted her.  I'm surprised Castle's team didn't undercover this witch nonsense before - after all it's not like the Bill Maher show is on some obscure channel...

        •  Oh, and Bill has quite a number of these (0+ / 0-)

tapes (or bodies, as he put it!)

The thing is, if he's got them, they shopuldn't be too hard to get ahold of.

In this day and age the RNC and R Senate committee certainly had the tapes and full background on her and the question is who decided not to use it?  Was it Castle or his campaign that decided they would win and not need to go that negative or that it would backfire----like the attacks on the woman in South Carolina that helped her last election cycle.

Lots of campaigns have data they do not use---think of Larry Craig----his conduct was known decades ago, but not used by Democrats in Idaho. A Republican tried to get the Idaho Statesman, Boise paper, to use it, the rumour goes, and it did not.

Lots of campaigns have the same story.

What is the story on this campaign?  That will be a great follow up story.
