Whether its use leads to quality issues in protein is also not as clear as diarist claims. Also increased IGF-1 in milk from rGBH treated cows if it was not at least partly degraded (unlikely)and totally absorbed by humans would account for less than 0.1% of normal human production in adults and according to the American Cancer Society does not contribute to a cancer risk. In fact drinking cow milk or soy milk each cause an increase in endogenous production of IGF-1 (which also happens to be a trigger in the start of puberty.)
