  •  I like this: (8+ / 0-)
◦Harness America’s Clean Energy Potential so that 80 percent of electricity will come from clean energy sources by 2035

◦Win the future through Clean Energy Research and Development

◦Lead by Example so that the Federal Government models best practices and clean energy technologies

    I like it alot.

I don't like the part about nuclear plants, but thanks to another Kossack I've realized that hardly any nuke plants are likely to be built anymore anyway.

The most interesting part of the full document that you linked to is the projected cost of solar.

It's on page 7 and it is extremely revealing:

By 2015, solar is projected to cost only 6 cents from solar fields and 10 cents from residential solar.

At those production prices nobody is going to want to build any nuke plants anymore anyway... nor new coal plants for that matter.

    Tipped and recced.

      •  I don't really pay much attention to what many (4+ / 0-)

people here on DailyKos say nowadays, as there are not that many around anymore who seem to be capable of independent thought and analysis.

So much here now just consists of parroting the talking points of pundits and others that have ulterior motives.

Usually, when you ask questions that require a deeper analysis, it quickly becomes clear that people are out of their depth... often even in regards to a topic that they just wrote about in a diary.

But that's the way it goes with popular websites that don't have lots of good moderators.... they become a platform for people who are more about ego and winning arguments than anything else.
