What is being done to Michelle Bachmann right now, attacks on her husband, attacks on her related to a church she doesn't even belong to any more, attacks on her health by right-wingers Carlson and Rove, constitute about the most despicable gutter politics I've seen since anti-Obama 2008.

    I am deeply ashamed.

If her husband wanted to be left out of things, then he should have shut up. You can't have it both ways. They choose to have their religious views imposed on everyone else. And a Presidential candidate's health issues are relevant. We can't have a part-time president.

Our partisan mindset now has us parroting smear campaigns undertaken by the other side, and we think our double standard is OK because the target of the smear campaign is someone we don't like (and like to bash).

If the target were Pelosi or Obama instead, we'd hypocritically want Repug heads on a plate.

      Sad to see.

attacking Michele Bachmann? I have not seen a single democratic politician saying a single thing about Michele Bachmanns migraines?

The President should step up to who?

This has zero to do with the President or democrats.
The principles here are Bachmann, her GOP rivals, and ABC News.

DKos is not the democratic party. It is a blog where anybody can write anything they want.
      Talk about an overreaction.
If the GOP practice gutter politics(and they do) in their primary battle, what are the dems supposed to do about it?
