Posting a Diary Entry

Daily Kos welcomes blog articles from readers, known as diaries. The Intro section to a diary should be about three paragraphs long, and is required. The body section is optional, as is the poll, which can have 1 to 15 choices. Descriptive tags are also required to help others find your diary by subject; please don't use "cute" tags.

When you're ready, scroll down below the tags and click Save & Preview. You can edit your diary after it's published by clicking Edit Diary. Polls cannot be edited once they are published.

If this is your first time creating a Diary since the Ajax upgrade, before you enter any text below, please press Ctrl-F5 and then hold down the Shift Key and press your browser's Reload button to refresh its cache with the new script files.

  1. One diary daily maximum.
  2. Substantive diaries only. If you don't have at least three solid, original paragraphs, you should probably post a comment in an Open Thread.
  3. No repetitive diaries. Take a moment to ensure your topic hasn't been blogged (you can search for Stories and Diaries that already cover this topic), though fresh original analysis is always welcome.
  4. Use the "Body" textbox if your diary entry is longer than three paragraphs.
  5. Any images in your posts must be hosted by an approved image hosting service (one of: imageshack.us, photobucket.com, flickr.com, smugmug.com, allyoucanupload.com, picturetrail.com, mac.com, webshots.com, editgrid.com).
  6. Copying and pasting entire copyrighted works is prohibited. If you do quote something, keep it brief, always provide a link to the original source, and use the <blockquote> tags to clearly identify the quoted material. Violating this rule is grounds for immediate banning.
  7. Be civil. Do not "call out" other users by name in diary titles. Do not use profanity in diary titles. Don't write diaries whose main purpose is to deliberately inflame.

Please begin with an informative title:

A lot of people will be trying to make a big deal about Biden's manorisms, but it was Paul Ryan's body language that sent up the biggest red flags and we can't let him get away with it.

I'm not sure there is any water left in Kentucky the way Ryan was nervously taking a gulp of water after every lie he told.  But the warning rocket he sent up when asked about abortion was a Psychology students ticket to a PHD.

He was biting his tongue so hard I thought we would see blood coming out of his mouth.  He knew he couldn't say what he really believes and that he was going to have to tell a Romney lie and not let the world know that he wants to take women back to the 19th century.

Here's the clip below the fold and watch the deep breath, the clearing of the throat, and the pause right after.

You must enter an Intro for your Diary Entry between 300 and 1150 characters long (that's approximately 50-175 words without any html or formatting markup).

Paul Ryan has been a leader in the anti-choice movement for years in congress.  Here's his record on abortion according to ontheissues.org.

Church-provided contraception is about rights & conscience. (Feb 2012)
Voted YES on banning federal health coverage that includes abortion. (May 2011)

Voted YES on banning partial-birth abortions. (Apr 2000)
Voted YES on barring transporting minors to get an abortion. (Jun 1999)
Rated 0% by NARAL, indicating a pro-life voting record. (Dec 2003)
Rated 100% by the NRLC, indicating a pro-life stance. (Dec 2006)
Prohibit transporting minors across state lines for abortion. (Jan 2008)
Bar funding for abortion under federal Obamacare plans. (Jul 2010)
Prohibit federal funding for abortion. (May 2011)
Congress shall protect life beginning with fertilization. (Jan 2011)
Prohibit federal funding to groups like Planned Parenthood. (Jan 2011)
Grant the pre-born equal protection under 14th Amendment. (Jan 2007)
He has debated this issue over and over and over.  There would be no reason in the world that an answer about abortion wouldn't be automatic and far more rehearsed than many of the other answers he gave.  But he couldn't rely on the mean spirited anti women's health answers he's been giving for so many years now.  No, he had to stop and think about the answer the Romney campaign wanted him to give.  He looked frustrated that he couldn't say what he so desperately wanted to say, but instead he had to tone down his rhetoric so he didn't end up like his close congressional ally Todd Akin.

So before the media tries to make this debate about Joe Biden's smiles and laughs, let people know that it was Paul Ryan who's body language was telegraphic the most about who these people really are.
