This isn't much of a diary and I apologize.  You know I love to write detailed and informative diaries that get people engaged.  But I do want you to know that Public Policy Polling is conducting their Michigan poll now and these Tweets indicate bad news for Governor Rick Snyder (R):
PPP hasn't released it's Michigan poll yet but I'll be keeping my open for it.  Snyder and the majority of the Michigan GOP were persuaded by Grover Norquist, the Koch brothers, the DeVos family, and Americans for Prosperity to pass and sign the "right to work" law.  The Atlantic wrote about Snyder's reasoning today:

The move has already done major political damage to Snyder, whose image as a bipartisan conciliator is at risk of turning into one as a right-wing bully. But Snyder -- the onetime CEO of the Gateway computer company, whose unorthodox 2010 campaign branded him "One Tough Nerd" -- was unrepentant when I spoke to him on Thursday.
"I think it's the right thing to do," he said. "There are still people upset. We'll still have some issues. But the Capitol lawn is clear today." That is, the protesters have gone home. Now that he's signed the laws into being, there is nothing more protestors can do there. - The Atlantic, 12/14/12
These tweets from PPP are encouraging to hear because Michigan unions are already getting ready for 2014:

Rather than attempt to recall Republicans, as Wisconsin Democrats tried and failed to do to Gov. Scott Walker, the Michigan unions are set to mobilize behind Democrats and pro-union Republicans in two years.

“What you did today is going to happen over the next two years,” said David Hecker, president of the American Federation of Teachers’ Michigan chapter. Teachers made up a large number of the protesters on Tuesday, and three schools in suburban Detroit were closed as a result of a teacher-led protest. - Daily Beast, 12/12/12

I am taking the day off from writing diaries due to the recent school shooting in Connecticut.  Today is a day of mourning but I wanted to at least give you guys some good news today.  I will be having profile diaries about Senators Mark Udall (D. CO) and Jeff Merkley (D. OR) in their fights for filibuster reform and preserving civil liberties over the weekend.  I will also have a diary about the Kentucky U.S. Senate race and I will have some new Pennsylvania Governor diaries coming out this week.  One will be a profile on Governor Tom Corbett (R) and the other will be on possible gubernatorial candidate, U.S. Congresswoman Allyson Schwartz (D. PA-13).  More to come.
