Milwaukee County Sheriff David "Get in the Game" Clarke has embarrassed Wisconsin once again.

In an live chat on the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel's website, Clarke was asked by progressive political blogger Jud Lounsbury asked Clarke this question:

Should someone in line at a bank that is in the midst of a bank robbery, pull a gun on a bank robber?
Here's Clarke's response to Lounsbury's question:
Jud, it depends. Again that is a decision that the person in that situation has to calculate, not me who is not there at the time.
David Clarke, who is the chief law enforcement officer of Wisconsin's most populous county, suggested that people consider intervening to stop a bank robbery by pulling a gun on the robber(s)!

Harry Trombitas, the former FBI lead agent on violent crimes, has this advice for what bystanders should do during a robbery:

1) Remain calm and do not make any sudden movements.

2) Do what the robber says. Cooperative customers and employees are rarely harmed during a bank robbery.

3) Be observant. If possible, get a good look at the robber, noting the race, sex, approximate age, height, build, and clothing. Specifically focus on things that can’t be readily removed, such as ear rings, hair length and style, scars, marks, and tattoos.

4) Never chase a robber after he/she leaves. Instead, go to a window and get a description of the vehicle and direction of travel.

David Clarke is a danger to the people of Milwaukee County, Wisconsin. In fact, he has already drawn a 2014 opponent, Chris Moews, and here's his campaign Facebook page!
