A church near Los Angeles is closing its preschool only a month into the spring semester The reason?  Apparently kids were having sex with each other.

Some students in the preschool class at the First Lutheran Church of Carson School would engage in oral sex during naptime, in the tunnel slide on the playground and in an outside bathroom, attorney Greg Owen told ABCNews.com.

"It all boils down to a lack of supervision," Owen said. "There were times when teachers would let aides in the room for hours at a time to watch the kids. During naptime, the aides would be sleeping and the children would have been molesting each other during this time."
Owen, who is representing four alleged victims, said he plans to file a lawsuit on Monday in Los Angeles County Superior Court against the school, the church, the principal, the teacher and an alleged child perpetrator.

Watch KABC-TV's story on this horrific situation here:

Officially, the school is closing with only a week's notice because its director abruptly resigned for personal reasons, and no teacher wanted to take the job on short notice.  The real reason, however, is that several outraged parents learned four- and five-year-old kids were having sex with each other.

I have to wonder why Owen is suing the child--a five-year-old girl who is no longer at the school--rather than the girl's parents.  After all, if anyone in this case has any explaining to do, it's her parents.  After all, it doesn't take much to figure out that somewhere down the line, that little girl got the idea that this behavior was even remotely okay--and by all rights, her parents need to be the ones before a judge here.

According to one of the parents, Richard McCarthy, the girl named in the suit had oral sex with his four-year-old son several times.

"He told me about all the bad things that girl had been doing to him," McCarthy said. "It went down in the classroom, it went down in the bathroom and it went down out on the playground."

At least one other boy said he received oral sex from the same 5-year-old girl, KABC-TV reported.

McCarthy is afraid to put his son in another school, for fear he might act out again and be labeled a "predator."

Suffice to say that heads need to roll here--a lot of them.
