A day after guilty verdict against two rapists in Steubenville, OH, two teenaged girls are in custody after using social media to make threats against the victim.
One of the girls tweeted a threat to kill the victim while the other made Facebook posts which threatened her with bodily harm.
Both have been charged with menacing.
Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine said
"Let me be clear. Threatening a teenage rape victim will not be tolerated. If anyone makes a threat verbally or via the Internet, we will take it seriously, we will find you, and we will arrest you."
The investigation is being handled by the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office with help from the Steubenville Police Department and the Jefferson County Prosecutor’s Office.
But of course Anonymous is waiting in the wings in case anyone shines a Guy Fawkes symbol at the night sky.
