My, my, the Pope denounces "enhanced interrogation techniques," Bush mentioned specifically... seems like Dim Son just can't catch a break lately...
Pope: Torture should be outlawed
VATICAN CITY, June 27 (UPI) -- Pope John Paul II Sunday called for a complete ban on torture, the Italian news agency ANSA reported.
"Institutions and citizens should totally ban this intolerable violation of human rights, which is radically contrary to the dignity of man," the pope declared.
The Holy Father is obviously not a member of the Federalist Society.
The pope was addressing an estimated crowd of 20,000 in St Peter's Square from his window in the Vatican Palace overlooking the square.
John Paul did not refer to the Iraqi prisoner abuses by U.S. servicemen and women at Abu Ghraib prison, but Vatican sources said the scandal was clearly in his mind.
The pope has spoken out against what happened at Abu Ghraib on more than one occasion. He even mentioned it to President George Bush during the latter's papal audience earlier this month.
You think this is going to be another bad week for Duhbya?
I sure think so.
And you can bet the issues raised in F911 are going to be on everyone's minds this week. Questions will be asked.
When will they crack?
