From July 16th perhaps someone already posted on this...
Kernan - Daniels #'s
Of 852 registered voters surveyed by telephone from July 8 through July 12, 32 percent said they intended to vote for (R)Daniels, 26 percent favored (D)Kernan, and 41 percent said they did not know. One percent named someone else.
Daniels has spent alot to define himself; people know him better at this stage than they know Kernan. That being said it's good that all of his advertising and gas guzzling RV stops haven't convinced more than 32 percent of the people to vote for him. Kernan still needs to define who he is to most of the state.
Bush - Kerry #'s
The poll showed President Bush with a sizable lead over presumptive Democratic presidential nominee John Kerry, 46 percent to 27 percent with about 26 percent undecided.
Not much effort going into the state outside of Indianapolis.
