I'm doing all I can to help elect Kerry. But it only occurred to me this week that I will most likely be out-of-town on November 2nd. My first grandchild is due October 28. I've never missed a national election in over 30 years, and I had no clue how to get an absentee ballot.
The moral of the story is to remind people to get an absentee ballot if they need one - find out how your community handles them. I can go to my public library and fill out an application. Other resources may include The League of Women Voters, or the local democratic party headquarters. Leave no voter behind!
This is my diary debut, so be kind.
