A couple of days ago, I wrote a
diary about Senator Landrieu's amendment to the corporate tax bill, an amendment to benefit Reservists and National Guard troops who are called to fight in Iraq. The Republicans in the House stripped this small amendment out of the bill, even though they kept in measures to benefit special interests, such as NASCAR track owners.
Senator Landrieu has written a letter to President Bush asking him to veto this bill if it doesn't include the benefits for Guard and Reserves troops:

The Senate is debating this bill right now. You can watch it on C-SPAN.

The JOBS bill contains, according to Congresswoman Tammy Baldwin (D-Wisconsin)"...at least $30 billion in additional tax incentives for companies to move overseas."
H.R. 4250, The American Jobs Creation Act of 2004
Here Senator Landrieu describes ways we can all help put pressure on Congress to include this amendment:

Please consider calling your Senators and Representatives today to ask them to include this amendment in the final bill. They will likely be voting on this sometime soon.
We really could make a difference. Senator Landrieu is risking a lot of political capitol here. I hope we can all back her up.
Thanks.
