If you're going to be in or around Seattle this Saturday evening (December 11, starting at 8pm, Greenwood Senior Center, 525 N 85th St, Seattle), please join us at our
Holiday Party for Progressives!
This won't be a meeting or a fundraiser or a anything that serious ... it's just a social gathering. We're asking for $5 to help pay for renting the hall and buying the keg. We've invited local and regional political lumniaries to drop by, but again, it's just to enjoy and share holiday cheer with like-minded folk.
Full details on time, place, and such can be found by clicking this link.
More information below the fold...
The planners behind this (myself included) are refugees from the Howard Dean campaign, and current adherents of
Democracy for America. However, we warmly welcome former supporters of Kucinich, Edwards, Braun, Sharpton, Kerry, et al., and we welcome Greens, and we welcome
everyone who shares our orientation toward progressive action.
As noted earlier, we've invited Seattle-area political figures -- from Legislative District leaders to City Council to our representatives in the other Washington -- to stop by for a drink or a cookie. I have no idea which of them will show up, but you never know...
But whether or not the pols come by, we expect to see a plethora of progressive people enjoying each other's good company and good cheer.
Once again, here's the link to your personal invitation to the Holiday Party for Progressives.
See you there!
