John Kerry drew
large crowds in a Deep South state that voted nearly 60%
for Bush in 2000. Kerry, who arrived and spent Saturday
night in Jackson, spent the entire day campaigning in
Mississippi. Even though no Democrat has won Mississippi since
1976, Kerry even said he may return and campaign even more
before the November election. Kerry drew many traditionally
GOP voters to his town hall meeting at Tougaloo College in which
he blasted Bush for "stonewalling and resisting" the
investigation of 9/11....Kerry's strategy to take the election
right into the heart of Bush country likely will cause the
GOP to have a lot of concern especially after
seeing the large crowds that Kerry has been attracting
in states such as Louisiana and Mississippi.
