I would like some advise about how to get this group moving toward being organized. It is one thing to make an agenda and hold a meeting, it is quite another to get people who take notes to send them back to me, which would then enable me to post the minutes and make plans for the next Meetup.
The Meetup was on January 11, and I am still waiting. There were three people taking minutes and several others who volunteered to find a new place to meet, so that we could hear each other talk.
I've written e mails asking other for suggestions on where to meet.
I realize that many people do not want to get involved in making plans for the 2006 or 2008 election process because it is a long way off.
I don't agree.
If we don't lay the ground work now to get organized, we will be playing catch up with the other side once again.
I have a feeling I am not alone in being frustrated at not having any place to put my energy toward winning back the Congress and White House. Why? Because I get e mails from other parts of the country asking where they can sign up to help the Democratic cause.
Most people do not know exactly what a blog is. And, as far as getting ready for the election, there is more to this than just opining and waiting for someone else to act.
Any suggestions out there?
