Jerome has outline this revolution
here. Colorado has now joined the ranks of state parties rejecting the establishment candidate, opting for grassroots movement state chair.
Deposed state Democratic Party chairman Chris Gates vowed Monday to challenge his three-vote ouster, even as his successor moved into party headquarters, changing the locks behind her.
"I'm the chair of the state party, and I'm getting to work," said Pat Waak, who with the backing of the party's more liberal members beat Gates 187-184 at the Democratic State Central Committee meetings over the weekend.
This one is even more dramatic because the Dems "won" their elections in Colorado...however, what was actually won is debatable. Over the loud objections of the Democratic Base in Co...the Co. Dem Party pushed aside Mike Miles and backed pro-torture Dem Abu Salazar.
Then California for Democracy is Bringin in da noise against Ahh-nold.
California for Democracy, the state arm of a national group that raised millions of dollars for Dean over the Internet,
is planning a high-tech campaign targeting the Republican governor, who wraps ups an out-of-state fund-raising tour in Washington today.
The group's re-emergence came as a committee closely aligned with Schwarzenegger began running television advertisements Monday urging voters to seek out signature-gatherers and sign up.
But volunteers from California for Democracy hope to frustrate those efforts. They plan to use the Web and mobile technology to keep roughly 9,000 supporters abreast of the whereabouts of signature-gatherers for Schwarzenegger ballot initiatives. Organizers say volunteers will then head to those locations to distribute the group's leaflets denouncing the planned special election, which opponents note will cost as much as $70 million.
The group is also poised to raise money to oppose the governor's agenda.
As quiet as it is kept...
The Democratic National Committee raised $3.4 million in three weeks -- more than double the amount raised during the same time in 2001 after President Bush was first elected, the new Democratic chairman said Monday.
...
"We're just delighted the fund raising is going better than we had dared to hope," Dean said Monday in a phone interview. "We haven't put out an Internet solicitation yet."
Time to make some NOISE...YEEEEAAAARRRRGGGGG!!!!
