www.ndol.org :
DNC Chairman Howard Dean just announced he was creating an "Office of Military and Veterans Outreach."
Only these elitist SOBs can find something WRONG with this....how do you ask? Well they just ask themselves "What would Rove say" then they spew out their response.
... give up?
The answer is after the fold

...That's an excellent idea. But we must go farther than inviting military-minded Americans to join the party coalition: we must make it clear we do not share the views of those who would treat the military as a suspect institution. Progressive Policy Institute president Will Marshall has suggested that Democrats call on colleges (virtually all of whom receive significant public subsidies) to abandon the practice (common at many elite schools) of banning military recruiters from campuses. Democrats rightly criticize the Bush administration for policies that have stretched our armed forces to the breaking point; we should also be willing to help them meet their recruitment goals, even if that's not "politically correct" on some campuses.
If they weren't so pathetic and certifiably retarded I would laugh at this idiocy ..but as it is... they just make me sick to my stomach.
There is no way in hell are these mother fuckers Democrats.
Moderate.... Centrist.... my ass... they are verifiable wingnut neo-cons.
I like how thy throw in elists in every barb...they must think of that phrase every time they collect their payment for services rendered from the bedside tables of the neo-con corporate rangers.
....WTF is this???? "[colleges] virtually all of whom receive significant public subsidies" is this a not so veiled threat???
We know that the services are not meeting their quotas:
www.nytimes.com :
Blacks make up about 23 percent of today's active-duty Army, but the share of blacks in the recruit classes of recent years dropped.
From 22.7 percent at the time of the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, the share slid to 19.9 percent in 2002; 16.4 percent in 2003 and 15.9 percent last year, according to figures provided by Army Recruiting Command spokesman Douglas Smith.
The slide has continued, dropping to 13.9 percent as of Feb. 9.
If Mr. Chickenhawk Marshall and his elitist buddies at the "elite only" DLC are so interested in helping the recruitment effort then they should get off of their elitist asses and donate their own elitist children to Bush's elitist war.
