Since July 2, 2003, when President Bush whipped out his undersized weenie and taunted the Iraqi insurgents with the ill conceived phrase "bring 'em on!", 1,379 US soldiers have been killed in Iraq. God knows how many more soldiers were seriously wounded during this time frame.
Talk about STUPID! You never give the opposing team something to put on the locker room wall! It is totally obvious this stupid bully was never in combat! It is also the epitome of arrogance, irresponsibility and immorality. It is the epitome of being a brain-dead frat boy who never grew up.
For reference -
86% of US deaths in Iraq have occurred after Bush taunted the insurgents with "bring 'em on."
93% of US deaths in Iraq occurred after the "mission accomplished" speech.
71% of US deaths occurred after Saddam was captured.
Of course this matters little in Bush's Rambo-movie cartoon world. It is easy to taunt the enemy from behind a wall of secret service protection, especially when the soldiers you are sacrificing are from the lower and middle class, just like Vietnam.
He would not be so arrogant and stupid if his two daughters were in Iraq right now. It is easy to be a posturing macho bully when you are putting someone else's kids in harms way. All this blowhard macho posturing reminds me of a grade school bully, more than the "strong leader" he pretends to be.
These certainly aren't the statements of a mature adult who understands the complexity of the world.
Of course you know the real reason Bush did this -- he was posing for the US voters like some kind of dolled up dime-store cowboy, pandering for votes like only he can. All the while, US soldiers are dying in Iraq. Bush could care less as long as he snags another dumbshit voter stateside.
Hopefully next time he will think more before he speaks, especially considering US forces are outnumbered 185 to 1 in Iraq. "Walk softly and
carry a big stick"should be amended to "talk softly and carry a big stick."
