Sadly it appears that Senator Lugar is willing to vote yes on the Nuclear option. I had hoped that his loyalty to Frist and the administration might stop with Bolton, but it appears he's willing to walk the party line right off the plank.
Dick Lugar hopes a showdown can be avoided, but if not he'll vote to nuke the filibuster. "When push comes to shove, I would not take a stand against my party's view that we should have up or down votes on judges."
While I personally believe that the filibuster should remain intact, the arguement that a previous Senate should not be able to bind a current Senate by requiring a super majority to change Senate rules is fairly convincing.
