A friend of mine just bought a new game and four of us played it last night.

"Wreck the Nation" is the board game of our times.
Each player is a politician who's goal is to lose $1 trillion of the taxpayers' money. The first politician to squander all their cash and bankrupt the nation wins. Their are various ways to spend money (tax cuts, wars, subsidies for campaign contributors, etc) through Expenditure cards, ways to gain money through Revenue cards (not that you ever raise taxes though), and Homeland Security cards that have a variety of different results.
Along the way to losing money, players also have many opportunities to go to war (on the environment, choice, workers, Democrats, or just pik a country) and to poll the public. You can also try to gain a media monopoly and have your contractor buddies gouge the government!
The best part was that most of the cards in the game are based on real acts of the Bushies. Many of them display actual Bush quotes. All thoroughly researched - the designers did a great job putting all the facts of the Bush admin together in this funny (if admittedly a bit sick) game. This gives it some educational values - see if you can get Republicans or uncommitteds to play it with you and they might learn something.
Overall I'd say it was a rip-roaring good time ... occasionally it made me feel angry and/or sad, but for the most part we spent several hours laughing our asses off.
Check it out - if you have the cash (it costs $30). You'll be glad you did.
(And by the way, no, I don't work for these guys - I just thought it was something other kossacks would enjoy.)
