It's 2:11 in Colorado. Not one person has said one word to me today about the attacks in London.
Not one.
And my office fluctuates daily between pretty empty or pretty full of people. Today, it was pretty full... nearly everyone's been in at some point today and not ONE of them has said a word.
How sad. How sad that we can so easily forget what happened to us. How said that no one around me will express solidarity with the Brits today. How sad that when this happened to us, the WORLD rallied... candlelight vigils in parks and squares around the world, and today...nothing.
Is this what we've become? So hardened to these kinds of acts that no one even says a word? That we just go on like nothing happened? Sure, you have to pick yourself up, but damn, give it a minute. Give it a minute to sink in, to feel to have an emotion, to grieve for those lost.
I feel like I'm in a cave... it's so very odd.
