I had not seen any details on what Cindy is going to do next; what she has done thus far must certainly qualify as the most remarkable confrontation of a sitting president by a private citizen in US history. She has announced a bus tour to DC, where she will resume her demand to talk with Bush. Now we learn that apparently the first stop on the tour is: Rep. Tom DeLay's (R-Beagle Boys) office in Texas. According to Reuters:
Iraq war protester Cindy Sheehan, whose vigil near President George W. Bush's Texas ranch has become a symbol for the anti-war movement, said on Friday she plans to focus on Congress, starting with Bush close ally and fellow Texan House Majority Leader Tom DeLay.

Sheehan has been demanding a meeting with Bush to discuss the U.S. presence in Iraq, where her son was killed in 2004, and next Thursday plans to begin a bus tour from Bush's ranch to the White House to campaign for withdrawal of U.S. troops.
One of DeLay's Texas district offices would likely be the first stop, she said. That would be about a 5.5 hour drive from Bush's ranch in Crawford, where he is on a month-long vacation.
"I think our first stop might be Tom DeLay's office," she said, surrounded by supporters. "I just wanted to let him know so he'll be in his office when we get there."
"The president is not going to meet with us, probably," Sheehan said. "We the people need to influence our congressional representatives and I hear he's pretty close by," referring to DeLay.
A spokeswoman for DeLay said his schedule was already set and did not plan to change it to meet with Sheehan.
"Mr. DeLay disagrees with those who believe we should give the terrorists the timeline they want and simply cut and run from the war in Iraq," DeLay spokeswoman Shannon Flaherty said.
DeLay has offices in Stafford and Webster. I am sure that both will make some unfriendly arrangements for Cindy's arrival. This is a new wrinkle. DeLay is House Majority Leader and as such has leadership responsibilities in this mess. I have no clue how well it will work. But I assume a lot of thought and conferencing has gone into it. She apparently thinks Bush is as badly whipped as he can be at this point. It may send quite a message. Who would be next? Get out those US maps, students, which congresscritters are between TX and DC?
Ann Coulter wants her to go to the deep South....for what reason I don't know....that might not work out the way Annie the Bannanny wants it...
"COLMES: Is that what that is? You certainly don't feel that New Yorkers are cowards?
COULTER: I think they would immediately surrender.
COLMES: So you do?
COULTER: I don't -- I don't think -- I think I'd rather have them trying to invade Mississippi or Georgia, Alabama, you know, the states where I want Cindy Sheehan's bus tour to go."
