I have NEVER written Diary before - so go easy.
But I have just read about NASA unveiling plans to go to the moon again.
WHY?
uh....to ....put....the ....flag....there....
Last time, we had something to prove, (to the Russians) in going there -- and it did not take 13 years either. My favorite is the artist's conception of "new" lunar vehicles ect. -- didn't the stuff we used last time work just fine? Why redesign it? It sounds like another Big Project where the only people making money are big contractors, we get stuck with the bill and a couple of crappy-looking Moon rocks.
Normally, I am into space stuff, but really is there a good reason to back to the moon? It's not made of oil or coal, it has only minute amounts of water.....what do we need go there for ...except to take The High Ground!
Perhaps NASA can explain where they are getting the money. Let's see:
$200,000,000,000 for Iraq
$200,000,000,000 for Katrina - (let's not forget there is another one on the way)
Why not throw in a Moon Shot?
Honey! The U.S. is drunk and has the credit card again!
Who comes up with this stuff?
