Haven't seen this diaried yet: AP reports as of an hour ago that
the Pentagon has dropped its objection to the Able Danger hearings.
The five people who say they recall the intelligence chart identifying Mohamed Atta as a terrorist inside the United States will testify in an open hearing Oct. 5, according to Senate Judiciary Chair Arlen Specter.
The Pentagon could not be reached for comment, but Rummy broke some wind about how it's different for open hearings, blah blah blah.
I guess what I wanna know is, why the reversal? Why now? Is it logrolling or jujitsu?
And will we find out the hard way?
