I just came across an article on CNN.com that Bush would lose his election if held today. This, of course, oversimplifies the election process as the Democrat is generic. It also doesn't factor in other variables like swift boating that would surely bring down the vote totals of any Dem who ran. Too bad this is a moot point but it's still nice to know. I'd like to see a Bush vs. Kerry poll. We're coming up on the anniversary of that. Also, there's good numbers for Dems on the issues. Dem numbers on Iraq handling were interesting.
article here.
in the latest poll, 55 percent of the respondents said that they would vote for the Democratic candidate if Bush were again running for the presidency this year. Thirty-nine percent of those interviewed said they would vote for Bush in the hypothetical election.
