I have read the indictment and three things come to mind. They are as follows:
1. If "Official A" is Rove, then Rove may have to testify against Libby. Rove has, evidently, testified that he had a conversation on July 10 or July 11, 2003 with Libby during which Wilson's wife and her employment with the CIA was discussed, which is in contrast to Libby's testimony that he discovered Wilson's wife worked for the CIA from reporters subsequent to July 10, 2003. I don't think Fitzgerald relies upon it "Official A" in his list of examples of contary evidence listed on Pages 12 and 13, but it is available. Rove testifying against Libby would be great fun.
2. This is a relatively easy case for the prosecution to prove, particularly the perjury charges. All it takes is to put the witnesses on and let them testify as they did before the grand jury.
3. Paragraph 13 talks about a conversation between Libby and the Principal Deputy about The New Republic article. Libby told the Deputy that there would be complications at the CIA if information regarding Wilson's trip was disclosed, and that they could not discuss the matter on a non-secure phone. Sounds to me like fear of revealing classified information and then he later does it.
I can't wait until Rove testifies against Libby. My last question is who was the biggest jerk? Libby for letting Miller stew in jail for 85 days, or Rove for ratting on Libby.
