If you are a fan, you are aware that there many urban legends have arisen around various sports.
One that rose to prominence last year involved football, and the fate of the Redskins. The legend went that if the Redskins lost the game right before the election, the incumbent president would lose. For 16 straight elections this bit of lore held true. Last year they lost, but Bush still was reelected (the Prophets never counted on Diebold apparently).
I think it is times for a new Urban Legend.
(More below the fold)
I have noticed a rather odd correlation: As goes the Patriots season, so goes the Bush Administration's popularity.
Don't believe me, you think I would make this stuff up just to get people to cheer my boys a gifted team like the Colts?
Ok, just to dispel any hint of partiality in my hypothesis let me present you one of the more damning pieces of evidence:
New England Patriots Record, 4-3. Bush Popularity ~37%
Need you see more? If the Colts win tonight, it will be the first time that they've won on New England soil. We could see Impeachment tomorrow!
Come on, show Indianapolis some love. Give me your best GO COLTS!
