Ok, so I just had to go over to
freeperland to see how they handled the election last night. It was simply amazing to read some of the posts over there. To save you from having to dirty yourself by going to their site I have posted some of the more "interesting" comments below.
Also, I am beyond mad that our state had to spend $50 million on this election. Hopefully the Democrats will remind the voters of this state that Ahnold made the CHOICE to spend this money at a time when we can't even provide basic services to our residents.
This post was early in the evening, and clearly demonstrates the reason why the GOP lost in such big numbers yesterday:

Try living here!!!! Today on my way home from a job, going to the polling place I saw...I swear , Cindy Sheehans twin "sister" driving on 101, handmade bumper sticker ..."Libbi Lied, Bush 6 years of LIES, Impeach...ect...." I drove right next to the "thing" and gave the middle finger and mouthed some obscenities....too many of these people are clueless morons...

And then there is this person who has figured out that they will win:

LA still has to come in, but, based on the absentee votes, it won't be so bad.
350,000 figure, at the most, 45-55% against.
Means about 157,000 for and 192,000 against.
35,000 vote margin - and we're up by 135,000 as it is.
Plus we've still got Orange and San Diego.
It looks like we'll win on 75 for sure. 73 is going to be a harder thing. 74 might, by the slightest margin, squeeze by.

As the evening goes on the freepers realize that things are not going well for them, but hey, as long as they win one they will be ok:

If Arnold gets just one proposition- it will be a huge victory. Especially, 75.

Of course they don't know how to read the returns as they come in, this freeper thinks that all of SF has reported in (when they haven't):
To: counterpunch
9.2% voter turnout in SF!?!?! BWAHAHAHA! GIRLY-MEN!!

Reality starts to show up in freeper land as the evening turns darker for them:
To: hattend
Some hope still for 73, very few ballots have been counted in San Bernardino county. 74 will probably fail but let's face it, that's minor compared to 75. We need to get 75 or else this election was a waste.

Again freepers have no clue how to read the returns. As a side note, when reading through their board over and over they were hoping for low turnout (no wonder they work so hard to make it difficult for people to vote):
To: Torie
Looks like only 9.3% of LA voters turned out.

They hold out hope for 73 (how they think these things up is beyond me):
To: HitmanNY
73 perked up from 49.5 to 49.6!
Is it rising from the ashes, or is this just an aborted fetus bounce?

Reality again sinks in as the night goes on:
"Arnie bled $300 million out of the unions."
Yeah, but they can always get it back. They'll just raise their dues again.
There is no way to put lipstick on this pig. Because there ain't gonna be a "next time." There will be no money for conservative reform initiatives again in California. We probably won't even get the signatures. Arnold may or may not be re-elected. If he is, he won't be able to do a damned thing except make the state fall apart a little more slowly. I'm no longer sure it matters.

Well, I guess they have less today then yesterday:

...And even if 75 wins, it's still pretty bad.
Disagree there. 75 is crucial, and more then we had yesterday.

Of course losing makes one drink more and this is what results when posting drunk:
To: NormsRevenge
We're going to beat the Democrats in 2006 like a set of copper kettle drums. The positive results will be piling up by election day: 1) strong economy with lower energy costs and a stronger stock market, 2) Fed will have stopped raising interest rates by next Spring leading to lower mortgage rates and stabilization of home prices, 3) Reduced troop levels in Iraq and lots of celebrations as troops return home (a political must-have), 4) Successful democracy and reduced violence in Iraq, and 5) lower spending in Iraq and a reduced budget deficit.
In politics, nothing gets results like results. You gotta get results for your people and your supporters. Bush & Rove know this and next year we will rock. 2005 is the Dems's year to set themselves up to look stupid next year.

In response to someone who has determined that CA voters won't rule him:
To: California Patriot
I refuse to be ruled by them.
I don't know, guy. That's sounding like the "He's not my President" guff we were all laughing at back in 2001.

All night the freepers were stating that 73 would pass because of their good Christian latino voters. When the reality set in that 73 was going down the attacks began:
I had no idea the Latinos were as stupid as the Blacks when it comes to killing off your own race. Of course, stupid are also all those who stayed home and did not vote to protect Life.
May God have mercy on this Land. On second thought, maybe God should save his mercy for a people who deserve it.
