[Update] : It has been pointed out in the comments that this is not the first time DK has been mentioned on the BBC. In fact it is the
4th time. Sorry about that.
I commented on one of the diaries yesterday about the use of white phosphorus in Iraq. I congratulated DK and other blogs for putting this to the top of the BBC news agenda. This story has now been at the top of the BBC's news for one whole day. Rather than getting into the debate about WP, I would just like to draw your attention to a first for Daily Kos. An article on WP in Iraq on the BBC news website credits blogs with bringing this news to greater attention
and quotes and names Daily Kos as a source.
"CONFIRMED: WP is a CW if used to cause harm through toxic properties," says Daily Kos.
I believe congratulations are in order. This is the first time a BBC News article has named Daily Kos. Don't believe me? Try the search function. One article, and this is it.
Again, congratulations and thanks.
Power to the people! Power to the blogs!
(Be kind, this is my first diary)
