a NY times article by
Stephen Labaton
illuminated abuses of power at the Corp. for Public Broadcasting.
the article described:
"Investigators at the Corporation for Public Broadcasting said on Tuesday that they had uncovered evidence that its former chairman had repeatedly broken federal law and the organization's own regulations in a campaign to combat what he saw as liberal bias."
A report to Congress recently stated that Kenneth Y. Tomlinson, who was pushed off the board when the report came to light 2 weeks ago, violated the law, and corporation policy in his efforts to enforce what he called "balance" and "insulation from politics" in programming content.
The article quotes him as: In a statement distributed with the report, Mr. Tomlinson rejected its conclusions. He said any suggestion that he had violated his duties or the law was "malicious and irresponsible" and that the inspector general had opted "for politics over good judgment."
Sound Familiar?
Malicious and Irresponsible. Apparently these are the right wing's last two straws to grab at. Maliscious and Irresponsible.
