Hi all, attached is an image I took of a billboard I passed on I-85 South in North East Atlanta btween Shallowford and Clairmont Roads. It says:
Rep Murtha;
Democrats may cut and run . . .
Marines NEVER will!
There is no attribution on the billboard, but in the lower right hand corner it says Hoo-Ahh I think (you can't see it in the photo).
This stretch of Road is one of the busiest sections of highway in Atlanta. I don't know how many people pass it per day, but it's got to be a lot.
Sorry about the graininess, it was night, raining, and I was driving about 65 MPH.
Some questions to consider on the flip . . .
Who paid for this billboard?
What do people who are not into politics make of it? Do they even understand what it's talking about?
If there's no actual Marines behind the financing of the Billboard, can't these guys get in trouble for insinuating that they represent the corps?
Has anyone else seen these in their state?
Is it better to expose these or ignore them?
I'm not back in town until Wednesday, but I will try to take a daylight photo of this then if there's interest.
