After hitting San Diego hard, The Freeway Blogger headed north for some serious Impeach blogging in Orange County, CA, a Republican stronghold directly southeast of Los Angeles. Click here for five high-resolution photos of the damage.
When you look at those photos, know that they represent freeway blogging at its best. While images such as this San Francisco photo are inspiring, they don't usually have the impact of visually less impressive postings, which aren't as much a target for removal.
There's a reason The Freeway Blogger christened this activity freeway
blogging. Like Internet blog posts, freeway blog posts don't last long -- it's all about
placement. Just as a front page post on
Daily Kos scrolls away quickly but captures huge numbers of eyeballs in its short life,
The Freeway Blogger is the
Markos Moulitsas Zuniga of freeway blogging.
Site selection is the key, and you should
never spend more than 50¢ producing a freeway blog
Where's he heading next? He would certainly be welcome in Santa Barbara, but Republican Bakersfield needs him more; he's currently traveling up I-5 with more than 40 Impeach freeway blog posts.
The Freeway Blogger's activities are part of the Jan 8 - 9 kickoff of the Impeach Campaign, recently a front-page story on Buzzflash, and currently the front-page Pass It On feature at TomPaine.com.
Elsewhere in the USA, the 15 regional USA freeway blogging groups are gearing up for a continuing Impeach Campaign. I just received this pre-deployment photo last night from Houston, where two bloggers, members of the Texas group, are blogging overpasses over all the major highways leading into the city in time for the Monday morning commute:

In order not to miss continuing coverage of the Impeach Campaign, you might consider bookmarking the Daily Kos impeach tag and setting it as your browser home page.
