Apparently all the Abu Ghraib photos have now been released to Salon.com.
These images show even graver abuse. But only a few are posted at Salon.com.
Whatever anyone's original intentions may have been in releasing only a portion to the media in Austrailia, the effect has now been pretty close to full disclosure.
The material includes more than 1,000 photographs, videos and supporting documents from the Army's probe.
Salon says it obtained these materials from a former military person who is familiar with the Army's criminal investigation.
As Kos pointed out yesterday, the question now will be how widely these photos become available to the American public. Will ordinary Americans be confronted with them, in all their shamefulness, or will they remain hidden in plain sight?
Please recommend this diary so that people will know to visit salon.com, to view their Abu Ghraib Portfolio

Update
Jambro is corect. Only a portion are available for viewing at salon.com.
I guess this means Salon needs encouragement from the blogosphere to make everything available.
Salon writes:
"The photographs we are showing in the accompanying gallery represent a small fraction of these visual materials. None, as far as we know, have been published elsewhere. They include: a naked, handcuffed prisoner in a contorted position; a dead prisoner who had been severely beaten; a prisoner apparently sodomizing himself with an object; and a naked, hooded prisoner standing next to an American officer who is blandly writing a report against a wall. Other photographs depict a bloody cell.
"The DVD also includes photographs of guards threatening Iraqi prisoners with dogs, homemade videotapes depicting hooded prisoners being forced to masturbate, and a video showing a mentally disturbed prisoner smashing his head against a door. "
