Although she has been getting more attention lately, not enough scrutiny has been paid to Mrs. Barbara Wixon Bonfiglio, Treasurer to more republican crooks than you can count.
Barbara "of the Putrid PAC'S" is an attorney and very recently left Williams & Jensen, the infamous Washington Legal and lobbying firm where she was a partner. While working there she acted as the treasurer for all the scoundrels, including DeLay, Santorum and Cunningham. In fact she tracked the big money for 31 PAC's, five 527 organizations and six companies.
Now this is a woman who knows where all the bodies are buried. Pick a rat and she was his treasurer. She saw the money coming in, where it came from, and watched it go out. Ronnie Earle thinks she may know quite a bit about DeLay and has issued a subpoena for her down in Texas. The first of many perhaps.
Here are some of the PAC's she has worked, and I mean that literally I think:
New American Century PAC
Operation Good Neighbor - Santorum's "charity"; she was also treasurer for his campaign PAC
ARMPAC - DeLay
21st Century Pac
Celebrations For Children - DeLay's "charity"
American Prosperity PAC - Cunningham
RICHPAC - Pombo
Fund for a Conservative Future - Imhofe
American Success PAC - Dreier
America's Foundation PAC - Santorum - both his campaign PAC and his charity got money from this one
America's Majority Trust - Portman
American Public Communications Council Inc PAC
ARENA PAC
Battle Born Classic Committee - Thune
Come Back PAC
Common Sense Leadership Fund - Chambliss
Future Leaders PAC - Lewis
Great American Patriots PAC - Bilbray
Peace Through Strength PAC - Hunter
Pete's PAC - Domenici
Promoting Republicans You Can Elect Project - Pryce
VIEW PAC - Pryce
Republican Majority Fund - Nickles
Sandhills PAC - Hagel
Williams And Jensen PLLC PAC
Barbara "of the Putrid PAC'S" Bonfiglio has suddenly, and as far as all can tell, unexpectedly left Williams & Jensen and according to her former employer has taken a job with a Fortune 500 company, name undisclosed. Where has Barbara gone?...and does her new employer realize how many days she might have to take off to testify against her former "clients"? (It could go on for years). Perhaps her leaving W & J might be somehow connected to DeLay's decision not to run again? Is DeLay talking? Has he fingered old Barbie? ......Or vice versa?
Then there is an old Florida Election Commission case that I can't find any information on - Pete's PAC - Domenici(?!). It was a 2002 case on which Barbara "Biggest Bang For The Buck" Bonfiglio was a respondent and was dunned $4,650.00 in fines for late filings. Anyone know anything about this one? Or who ate that fine? Why Florida? FEC link
In 2003, a complaint was filed with the Federal Election Commission alleging that Pryce established two leadership PAC's in violation of campaign finance rules and that eight Republican congressional candidates violated the law by receiving contributions from the PACs. Bonfiglio was listed as the treasurer for both the PRYCE Project and the second PAC, Value In Electing Women PAC.
Now why would such a successful and crafty woman, running so many lucrative PAC'S and "charities", connected to so many influential [and indicted!] republicans, decide to throw it all up and go work for some old boring corporation? And which corporation might that be? Bet they might just regret that hiring decision yet. Or is Barbara really huddled with prosecutors in several states? Bye-bye, Santorum.
