You know how one thing leads to another? Well, for me one thing led to the self-diagnosis that I could very well have Asberger's Syndrome, which roughly translates into being intellectually smart and socially very stupid. It is a high functioning autism.
I had first heard about it on an NPR show, with my ears following every word, although I didn't conclude I had it from that story.
Lately I have been watching "The IT Crowd" on You Tube a sitcom from Britain about a couple of funny IT geeks, one who has Asberger's characteristics, (Moss). He is my favorite character. The show rocks for those who have not yet seen it.
Next thing I'm reading about Asberger's on
Wikipedia and then taking the test to see if I have it in
WIRED magazine, (who call Asberger's Syndrome "Geek Syndrome"), apparently some think Einstein may have had it too.
I wonder how Kossacks in general would fair on this test? We appear to be a technically savvy, intellectual crowd who are socially robust in an environment where we don't have to actually interact.
Take the test and let's find out. (Or not).
