On or about 8 am PDT the Washington State Supreme court will issue a ruling on same sex marriages.
The Seattle PI is covering the story:

Here are some excerpts below the fold..
"At 8 a.m., the state Supreme Court will announce its decision on the momentous social question of who can marry, a ruling left hanging for more than a year."
"In Washington, a ruling that lets gay couples marry could be much more significant than even the May 2004 court decision that made Massachusetts the first state to legalize gay marriage.
Unlike Massachusetts, Washington has no laws that would keep same-sex couples around the country from coming here to tie the knot."
So as they say in the article either same sex couples will be planning their weddings by mid-morning or will be finding another route for appeals.
I will keep on posting updates as I find them out.
OK here is the update: The Washington State Court upheld the Defense of Marriage act.
Here is the offical press release from the court:

The 38 individuals have not released their statements as of yet.
I'm sorry for a lot of people in Washington.. I know so many who have been waiting on this ruling. Next level...
