With so many Lieberman diaries, perhaps this already has been mentioned, but I thought this clip from the 700 Club is interesting.

Just after 9:30 of the 10:13 minute piece on the Lieberman-Lamont race, Robertson lets the audience know a personal anecdote about Lieberman.
When Pat Robertson was getting ready for prostate surgery in Florida, Joe Lieberman called Robertson on Robertson's cell phone to wish him well.
I can understand Robertson, before having minor surgery, getting calls from family and friends, but are Lieberman and Robertson really close enough to be chatting by cell while Robertson is preparing for surgery?
When the Rev. Al Sharpton gets sick, does he receive get well calls on his cell phone from Bill Frist and Dick Cheney?
In fact, leaders of the radical Right, like Dobson and Robertson, are on a speed dial basis with those in power, even "moderates" like Lieberman. On issues like Schiavo, reproductive choice, marriage equality, or the war, do Lieberman's own constituents have the kind of access that the Virginian Robertson does?
(The end of the 700 Club segment features Robertson bemoaning the political polarization of America today, as if he had nothing to do with it. Hilarious!)
