I know that you have been watching the Connecticut Senate race closely and thought you might appreciate knowing that Ned Lamont will be coming to Burlington, Vermont this Friday.
Ned's win is still reverberating across the political establishment and Ned is coming to celebrate with Democracy for America. We would love it if you could come and join us on Friday, August 18, 2006 from 6-7pm at Main Street Landing in Burlington.

This event was just put together only a few hours ago. The event costs $50 (it is a fundraiser) if you attend as a member of the public. But if you would like to attend as a blogger (which we would love for you to do) and write about the event, you could attend as one of our guests for free.
United States Senator Patrick Leahy and Representative Bernie Sanders are the "Honorary Hosts" of the event, but will be unable to attend due to previously scheduled engagements. DFA Chair Jim Dean and Democratic candidates for Congress and governor, Senator Peter Welch and Scudder Parker, will attend.
Founded by Governor Howard Dean and headquartered in Burlington, Democracy for America is returning our country to it roots as a nation of innovation, progress, economic security, and community strength. Through on-line and off-line actions, we empower individuals to take our country back -- one election at a time, from school board to the United States Congress.
Come join us. Check it out: http://www.dfalink.com/lamont
