I finally get to post a "scoop!"
TRUTHOUT: ABC to Pull Contraversial Docudrama
by Jason Leopold
Former President Bill Clinton spent more than half a day Friday at the offices of Disney, the owners of ABC. During the course of that meeting, Clinton served attorneys for Disney with an indictment charging the embattled multimedia conglomerate with defamation and lying to the American people about the former President's role in the hunt for Osama bin Laden in the years prior to 9/11, and instructed one of the attorneys to tell ABC that they have 24 business hours to pull the fictitious show from their programming schedule, high level sources with direct knowledge of the meeting said Saturday morning.
This is exciting! I'm going to forward this to all my friends! I probably should have put "BREAKING:" in the title.
Bob Iger, chief of ABC, did not return a call for comment. Sources said Clinton was in Burbank Friday and met with Disney officials for about 15 hours to go over the charges against ABC, which include slander and lying to the American about who was responsible for 9/11 and why they didn't go after George W. Bush, even though he had clear warning "Osama bin Laden Determined to Strike US" a month before the attack, sources with direct knowledge of the meeting said.
It was still unknown Saturday whether Clinton asked ABC about a more serious omission of a scene with Bush reading a story about a goat for a full 7 minutes when he heard about the 9/11 attacks. Sources close to Disney said Friday that it appeared very likely that the show would be pulled in it's entirety, as last minute edits would likely not be able to save such a flawed revisionist telling of the nation's worst tragedy.
An announcement by ABC is expected to come this week, sources close to the network said. However, the day and time is unknown.
