Perhaps it's the success of "An Inconvenient Truth." Perhaps it's being asked about it so many times that it's starting to seem like the thing to do. Perhaps it's just the revulsion toward what he's seeing happen in our nation. Whatever it is, Al Gore seemed to need to tell Australians that the internal gears are grinding a bit -- possibly toward a run for the White House in '08.
Al Gore is our dream candidate. Why? Because he's the first Democrat I can remember who's left office, had an epiphany about speaking from his heart, and is still young enough and in demand enough to actually win. If he runs and wins the nomination, it means no Hillary (thank the lord). It means McCain or whoover else the Repugs settle on will have to tell the truth, because Al won't stand for untruths anymore. And should he win the Presidency, we will finally have a President who gets it.
I don't have time right now to write a full diary, as my sister is getting married today, and I am the officiant. Got to get to work practicing my lines for the ceremony. So sorry for the brevity, but here's the link:
