I got a chuckle out of this, and thought you all might, too.
Seems Republican gubernatorial candidate Mark Green's campaign volunteers aren't so polite as he would like them to be.
Follow me to the flip ...
It appears Ben and Jenelle are nice Wisconsin folks who have a nice little
family blog. It also appears they have a goofy outgoing message on their answering machine. They sing something to the tune of the theme song from that awesome 80s TV show, "Greatest American Hero."
They got a nice message from a Green volunteer, followed by a not so nice message.
It appears the nice volunteer thought she had hung up when she hadn't, and, in the manner of Bush calling reporters names when he didn't know the mic was live, she just kept on talkin'.
You have to listen to the audio -- it's hilarious -- but here's the best nugget from the transcript of it:
Ann: "Those people were nuts... had three of their little kids answer the phone. 'Hewwo, wa wa wa wa wa,' saying a cute song that anybody else would think was cute except someone that was serious about what they were doing."
Man in background: "Yeah... My son's children answer the phone like that."
Ann: "Not everybody, you know, likes that." (beep) (beep) "The phone isn't a toy." (beep) (rustle) (click)
Just thought I'd share. :)
