Welcome my friends to Election Night 2006!!!!
If you aren't on the edge of your seat, biting your fingernails and making a general spectacle of yourself, please check your pulse.
It's going to be a long night, full of the emotional rollercoaster that is American politics. So, get comfortable and settle in with someone who can tolerate your hootin' and hollerin'. Not too comfy though. It would be rather embarrassing if, in the act of leaping off your couch, you got tangled in blankets, fell and smacked your head on the coffee table.
I will be updating this diary everytime new numbers are available. If I'm too slow for you however, the following sites are where I am getting them from:
NY-24
NY-25
NY-26
Serious H/T to Doe for the website for NY-26.
I'm using a new site for the 25th and 26th returns.
UPDATE
Ok, here is the deal with 25th. There are 13,000 absentee ballots left to be counted. That will not happen tonight. Although, news channels have technically declared Walsh(R) the winner, from what I'm hearing it is not official. Maffei(D) has said it will not be over until all votes have been counted.
