With only a few hours left in this campaign, with so much to do - it's hard to take time to reflect but I am going to do it anyway. I have never been part of a campaign quite like this. I have never seen this amount of grassroots and netroots support for a candidate.
Jim often says I started this campaign with no staff, no money, no office...which is absolutely true. But he did start with a rag tag group of dedicated activists and bloggers who were willing to give up their time, energy to help get Jim's message to voters. Here's what I know, because of Jim's background and his willingness to take a stand on issues that are so important to us - like the war in Iraq, economic fairness and Presidential oversight - so many people have signed on to this campaign and have given time and resources in order to get where we are today. We couldn't have done this without you, there is no way. So I want to tell you thank you. In the same vein, the campaign, activists, volunteer, netroots supporters, elected officials and everyone involved have been part of a team. Everyone knows what's at stake here and people are ready for change.
Truly this hasn't been a conventional campaign but the amazing talented people I've met throughout this experience and working for Jim have made it quite a ride. Not everyday has been an easy day, but to see the enthusiasm throughout the campaign and its final weeks is truly inspiring. (Even through my cold medicine!)
Now, more than ever it's vital that we get the vote out. Republicans claim they have this amazing machine, but we have the hearts, we have the guts, and we have the momentum. If we get our voters out we will win this! Thanks very much, and I'll be happy to answer your questions!
